-------------------------------------------
My second Halloween party outfit for this year! I decided to go as Taissa Farmiga's character, Zoe, from American Horror Story: Coven. My first thought : ALL BLACK. And a fedora, of course. So, I put this look together. Zoe wore flowy, but put together outfits. I chose a skirt similar to one she wore on the show, and added a silk blouse. I think the thigh highs add warmth, and even more of a witchy vibe. The lace up heels and wide brimmed hat complete the look.
A short black dress and a long black coat would also be a great Coven look!

I have been planning this outfit since I bought this leather vest! I like the combining prints and textures whenever I style and all black outfit. In this outfit, I have the leather of the vest (and the fringe) and the floral pattern of the top. My boots also have a soft leather look to them.
This is a great outfit for a casual dinner or a party.

Tonight I had a bit of fun at a Halloween party! The theme was "someone famous born on your birthday. Although Harry Styles isn't actually born on the same day as me (only the same month) I decided to cheat a little and go as him anyways!
So this is basically a 2013 Harry Styles inspired outfit. He wore brown leather boots and flannels often, and long black coats. My hair is a little curly, and actually about the same length as his. Happy Almost Halloween! :)

Band Tee - Thrifted | Jeans - American Eagle | Duster Coat - Forever 21 | Sneakers - Converse
I absolutely love styling any kind of band shirt! I usually wear them super casual but I dressed it up a bit. The duster coat and gold watch amp it up to edgy chic. Left my hair natural, save for a couple sprays of salt spray. I threw on my converse for comfort!
I think a duster coat is an wardrobe staple, especially for winter/fall! They can range from thick and warm to thin and breezy. This one is a bit thinner than I expected, but it is great to wear on slightly warm days. It could also be worn into summer!

R U GOING TO BOARDING SCHOOL?

Tee - H&M
Skirt - Garage
Parka - Garage
-----------------------------------------
A look that says school girl chic. I love plaid prints for anything. A plaid skirt is a very youthful item that can be hard to pull off. Choose one that is a little long ("dresscode :)")  and pair it with a simple shirt, such as a white blouse or a graphic tee. Wearing a tee makes it a bit less school girl. Throw on a coat, boots, and some tights and you're ready!

Coat - Forever 21Sweater - H&MJeans - American EagleShoes - H&M-------------------------------------------THE FUR COAT!! I'm so excited about and styling it for the first time. The colors look lovely with the blue/gray sweater. Black jeans and black boots create a clean line; the colors and the high heel make my legs look a lot longer. The jeans are a little bunched, which adds dimension and makes the look more casual. This outfit could be worn to a low-key lunch or a more upscale dinner. :)

R E V I E W --- FOREVER 21 // H&M // AE

I picked up some great new pieces today! The fur (faux!!) coat from Forever 21 is to die for! It was only about $50 and definitely worth it. The coat is very soft and warm. The colors are gorgeous. The fedora, also from Forever 21, is a nice mix of floppy, but not too floppy. I also picked up a sweater and midi skirt from H&M. The sweater is SUPER soft and has a close fit. The skirt is very interesting, as the lace extends slightly past my knee, while the lining only goes about mid thigh. It looks very classy. Lastly, I picked up some simple black jeggings from American Eagle. They have avery nice fit; I believe AE is very reliable for jeans.

Sweater - Forever 21
Jeans - American Eagle
Boots - H&M
Bag - Old Navy

A perfect transition outfit. The sweater can keep me warm, but not too hot as it is cropped. Once again, my suede boots from H&M. They are great to slip on quickly, especially if you'll be walking around. They are super comfortable! Any bag, small or large, has practicality. Always bring a bag if you're going shopping!

Shirt - good hYOUmanBralet - TopshopShoes - Forever 21Jacket - Old Navy-----------------------------------------This look was for a casual Oktoberfest event. It is simple, yet stylish. I chose a brown leather jacket since my kicks had similar colors. I decided to wear the bralet as the t-shirt is a bit see through. Keeping the shirt untucked makes the outfit more relaxed. Black jeans are a staple item for me. They can be worn with just about anything, for any occasion. This t-shirt has a story I'd like to share. The brand, good hYOUman, is based in California. The man who makes the clothing started the brand after his father passed away. The items, such as shirts and sweatshirts, have interesting and thought provoking statements on them. They are great pieces with character and quality.

Jacket - H&M Top - Forever 21Shoes - H&MNecklace - H&M--------------------------------------I actually was off to the ballet! I wanted to look put together, but still fashionable. I opted for a skirt/crop top combo to achieve this. The monochrome base for the outfit makes it look coordinated and clean. I added a pop of color with a suede moto jacket. Since it was night, and a bit cold, I added tights as well. I went for gold accessories, as they go well with a black ensembles.
